2 kidnapped professors in Libya released

New Delhi/Hyderabad, August 5: Telugu professors Tiruveedhula Gopikrishna and Chiluveru Balram were released safely. The two were kidnapped by IS in Libya. They were shifted to the Indian Embassy in Libya. AP Government special representative in Delhi Kambhampati Rammohan Rao said the two lecturers would be brought to India by Thursday evening. The news brought cheer to the victims' families. IS terrorists kidnapped Gopikrishna, Balaram, Lakshmikanth and Vijay Kumar, the last two belonging to Karnataka, in Libya on July 31. Lakshmikanth and Vijay Kumar were released on Friday. The four are working as professors in University of Sirth.
