Mohan Babu to retain Padma Shri award
Hyderabad, August 3: Supreme Court granted respite to Tollywood actor Mohan Babu regarding Padma Shri award. The apex court stayed High Court orders regarding misuse of the award by Mohan Babu. It also cleared that the title awarded by the Union government to the actor will continue. BJP leader Indrasena Reddy filed a petition in High Court against Mohan Babu alleging that he misused the Padma Shri award. The leader said the actor had prefixed the award to his name during the promotions of Telugu movie 'Denikaina Ready'. The court directed the actor to return the award honourably and contested a writ petition seeking cancellation of the honour. In response, Mohan Babu filed an affidavit in Supreme Court, promising that he will not misuse the award.
