HC grants bail to Ex-MP Harsha Kumar

Hyderabad, July 28: The Hyderabad High Court today granted bail to Ex-MP Harsha Kumar. It may be noted that Harsha Kumar launched a fast unto death on July 10 in Rajahmundry demanding burial ground site for Christians. The police thought that the protest would create problems to Godavari Pushkaralu, arrested Harsha Kumar and tried to shift him to hospital on July 11. At that time, Harsha Kumar pulled out his licensed revolver and fired several rounds in air. As Harsha Kumar even staged hunger strike at hospital, police produced him before a magistrate and he was remanded for 14 days. Civil society organisations flayed the government for invoking serious cases on those fighting for civic issues.
