171 cc cameras fixed at 18 ghats
Rajahmundry/Hyderabad, July 18: About 15,000 cusecs of water was released for Godavari Pushkaralu, said AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He inspected the situation at the various pushkar ghats on Godavari river banks at Rajahmundry on Saturday. The CM said 171 cc cameras have been set up at 18 main pushkar ghats. Reception counters were arranged in East and West Godavari districts and also Krishna and Visakhapatnam districts. 10 trainee IAS officers will monitor 18 pushkar ghats. The CM has been monitoring the siuation from police control room and giving directions to the officials. About 12.30 lakh pilgrims took holy dip in Godavari till Saturday noon.
