Drones to keep tab on red sanders smugglers

Tirupati, July 10: The forest officials are planning to deploy drone cameras to keep tab on red sanders smugglers in Sheshachalam forests. As of now the 26 high-end cameras were installed at some important locations in the forests and they will send the messages to the nearest combing party. Forest Minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy said that drone cameras will help the officials to identify the exact location of smugglers and to track their movements. A company recently held demonstration on the use of drone cameras. The drone cameras need internet connectivity for effective functioning and absence of signals inside the forest may pose problems.
