Telangana Assembly, Secretariat to be constructed at Shilparamam

Hyderabad, July 6: The Telangana State government is working on the proposals to construct new Assembly and Secretariat building in 60-acre government land located near Shilparamam in Hyderabad. When media personnel contacted R& B Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, he informed that the government is actively considering the proposal. He said that government is contemplating to build Assembly, Secretariat and administrative buildings at Shilparamam near Hi-tech city. The government earlier considered Erragadda Chest Hospital and Gymkhana Grounds for the secretariat, but shelved the proposals as it is not feasible. Nobody knows the reasons for shifting the Assembly and secretariat but if the buildings are constructed near Hi-tech city it will further aggravate traffic snarls in the area in which lakhs of IT employees work.
