Seven missing fishermen found dead

Hyderabad, June 23: Seven fishermen, who went missing after they had ventured into the sea on June 16 from the coast of Kakinada in East Godavari district, were found dead, according to officials. The deceased were identified as Gadipilli Simhadri (40), Kamada Nukaraju (25), Jakka Bucchi Babu (30), G Tata Rao (40) and Karri Raju (30) from Pagadalapeta, Chakka Sattiababu (50) from Jagannadhapuram and Gopi Satyanarayana (50) from Yanam. It may be noted that yesterday one fisherman was found dead in a boat and another died while undergoing treatment. About 100 fishermen who ventured into the sea on 23 boats were yet to return and officials are using three helicopters for the search operations along the coast between Visakhapatnam and Gopalapur in Odisha. Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa asked the families of missing fishermen not to get worried.
