8 red sanders smugglers arrested in Kadapa
Kadapa, June 20: The police today arrested eight international red sanders smugglers in Kadapa and seized 170 red sanders logs worth Rs 8 crore besides five vehicles. The police today tried to stop two cars for checking in Kadapa. As the vehicles did not stop, police chased and arrested two persons who were driving the vehicles and on the basis of information given by them police arrested the remaining persons and seized the rad sanders logs. J Siva Sankar, a close associate of International red sanders smuggler Kollam Gangi Reddy, is among the arrested. In Chittoor district, Taskforce police carried out raids at Nandumpalli forest area near Chandragiri and arrested 10 red sanders smugglers.
