Kadapa airport to become operational by May 15
Kadapa, May 1: If what Kadapa District Collector K.V. Ramana says is anything to go by then the airport at Kadapa is likely to be opened for commercial flights between May 10 and 15. According to the district collector, Union Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu are expected to inaugurate the airport. The collector said this information was revealed to him by Southern Regional Executive Director of Airports Authority of India Narasimha Murthy. Meanwhile, the Bengaluru-based airline Air Pegasus is showing interest to ply flights from Kadapa airport to Bengaluru.
