Pothina Mahesh joins YSRCP in presence of CM Jagan

Amaravati: Pothina Mahesh, who resigned from the Jana Sena Party two days ago, has joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). He was formally inducted into the party in the presence of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. On this occasion, Pothina's followers also joined the YSRCP. They were all welcomed into the party by CM Jagan, who symbolically draped them with the party's scarf.

Pothina Mahesh was disappointed after failing to secure the Jana Sena ticket from Vijayawada West constituency. As part of an alliance, this seat was allocated to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), from which former Rajya Sabha member Sujana Choudary is contesting. This led to Pothina's profound dissatisfaction and his eventual departure from Jana Sena.

Pothina Mahesh harshly criticized Pawan Kalyan, the leader of Jana Sena. He stated, "A leader is someone who instills trust, offers assurance, and ensures a secure future for his followers." He accused Pawan Kalyan of lacking affection for his own party's flag and of being willing to bear the flags of other parties. Pothina implied that everyone knows who the leader is who doesn't stand by his word, hinting at his support for Jagan Mohan Reddy. As he had indicated earlier, he joined the YSRCP today.
