K. Kavitha's Judicial Remand Ends Today; ED's Next Steps Awaited

BRS MLC K. Kavitha, facing allegations as an accused in the Delhi liquor policy case, is set to complete her judicial remand today. In this context, officials from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are expected to present Kavitha, who is currently held in Delhi's Tihar Jail, before the Rouse Avenue Court today. There is a possibility that the court may extend her judicial remand for another 14 days. Additionally, the court has already granted permission to the CBI to interrogate Kavitha.

Kavitha is accused of paying Rs. 100 crores to the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party. The ED arrested her in connection with the liquor case on March 15. Initially, the court had placed Kavitha in ED custody, which led to her judicial remand. Since March 26, she has been in Tihar Jail. Meanwhile, the court has also dismissed an interim bail petition filed by Kavitha, refusing to grant bail.
