Calls for Change: Telangana Ministers urge support for Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister

Hyderabad: Congress ministers at the Thukkuguda meeting have warned BRS chief KCR and KTR to be cautious with their words, advocating for giving Rahul Gandhi a chance to serve as Prime Minister. They accused the BRS of engaging in significant corruption during its ten-year rule, citing KCR's daughter Kavitha as an example of this corruption. The remarks were made during the Congress 'Jan Jatara' meeting held on Saturday evening in Thukkuguda, where ministers sharply criticized both the BRS and BJP.

Minister Konda Surekha expressed her frustration with KTR and KCR's unrestrained speech, suggesting they should speak more thoughtfully. She questioned why KCR, who had insulted others by calling them "sons of dogs" in a press meet, was not reprimanded for his derogatory language towards women and others.

Minister Seethakka appealed for support to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister, emphasizing the collective responsibility to achieve this goal. She criticized the BJP's governance, accusing it of transforming India into a country of hatred despite its claims of development and praised Rahul Gandhi as a symbol of sacrifice and hope for the poor. She urged Congress workers to strive for winning 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana as a gift to Rahul Gandhi.

Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah stated that the meeting in Thukkuguda was aimed at defeating the BJP government at the center and emphasized the need to win at least 15 of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana. He criticized KCR for not attending Assembly sessions and for his inappropriate language in a recent speech.

Minister Jupally Krishna Rao criticized KCR for his governance over the past ten years, highlighting the corruption and alleged misdeeds, including telephone tapping. He used KCR's daughter Kavitha as evidence of the family's corruption and questioned the integrity of the government's actions.

Rahul Gandhi arrived at the Thukkuguda rally venue after seven o'clock, accompanied by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, among others.
