Gali Janardhan Reddy merges his party with BJP ahead of Lok Sabha elections

Karnataka: In a significant development in Karnataka politics ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He merged his party, the Kalyana Rajya Pragathi Paksha (KRPP), with the BJP in the presence of former Chief Minister Yediyurappa. Along with him, his wife also joined the BJP, donning the party's scarf.

Speaking on the occasion, Gali Janardhan Reddy stated that he has merged his party with the BJP and joined the party himself. He expressed his commitment to work as a BJP worker to ensure Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister for a third time. He emphasized that he joined the BJP without any conditions and stated he does not aspire for any positions within the party.

Yediyurappa, speaking on the development, mentioned that Gali Janardhan Reddy and his wife joining the BJP is a positive decision and said that Reddy's inclusion would strengthen the party further. He expressed confidence that the BJP would win all 28 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
