Rapaka Varaprasad Rao Vows Victory in Rajolu if Nominated by YSRCP

Amalapuram: Rapaka Varaprasad Rao, a leader of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), expressed his confidence in winning the Razole assembly constituency if the party nominates him. He mentioned that the party workers are disillusioned with the party leadership's decision to offer him the Amalapuram MP ticket instead. He stated his belief that victory in Razole is certain if he contests and also opined that victory would not be as straightforward for Gollapalli Surya Rao, who has been allocated the Razole ticket.

Rapaka highlighted the strong bond he shares with the party workers, having worked closely with them over the past four years on various programs. He emphasized that while the party workers favor his leadership, the party's high command made a different decision. "We cannot oppose the decision made by the leadership. I do not know the rationale behind Jagan Mohan Reddy's decision, but it has certainly disheartened the party workers. Disappointment is natural when expectations are not met, but we must remain committed to any decision made by Jagan Mohan Reddy," he stated.

Rapaka revealed that he had been preparing to contest as an MLA with the hope that the party would recognize his potential. Following the party's decision, he feels there is nothing else to do but to prepare for the MP election, though he and his supporters are committed to working towards a victory in Razole.
