Sharmila Accuses CM Jagan of Failing to Implement Alcohol Ban and Fight for AP's Special Status

AP Congress President Sharmila participated in a meeting held this evening in Chintapalli, Alluri district. During the meeting, she launched a scathing attack on CM Jagan.

She reminded the audience that Jagan had once promised a complete ban on alcohol, stating he would seek votes only after implementing the prohibition. Sharmila questioned, "Has the prohibition on alcohol been implemented in the state now?" She criticized the current government for selling alcohol.

Sharmila accused Jagan of being ensnared by the BJP, questioning the absence of a special status for AP and whether Jagan had fought for it as promised. She remarked, "You claim to be as brave as a tiger or a lion, but have turned into a cat in front of the BJP."

Referring to the legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju, who fought against the British, she urged to similarly resist the authoritarian rulers in the state. She called for rejecting any party that does not stand with the people or fails to support the opposition in their cause.
