KCR to Lead BRS Legislative Party in Telangana Assembly

The legislators of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) have elected the former Chief Minister KCR as the leader of their legislative party. This decision was taken in a meeting held on Saturday morning at the Telangana Bhavan. The meeting, chaired by the senior leader Keshava Rao, was attended by 38 MLAs of the party. The former Chief Minister and MLA from Gajwel, KCR, could not attend due to undergoing a surgical procedure.

Recently, in the legislative assembly elections, BRS secured victory in 39 constituencies and is set to function as the principal opposition in the legislative assembly. Against this backdrop, the BRS MLAs convened on Saturday to elect their legislative party leader. At this meeting, a unanimous resolution was passed selecting KCR as their leader. Following this resolution, all the MLAs traveled together in a single bus to the assembly.
