YSR changed airport name, his son renamed health varsity: Balakrishna

Amaravati, September 24: Tollywood actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna strongly objected to changing the name of University of Health Sciences (UHS) established by TDP founder and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N.T. Rama Rao, popularly known as NTR, in Vijayawada.

Recently, the AP Assembly passed a Bill renaming NTRUHS after ex-Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR) as Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences. Balakrishna said NTR is not just a name to remove or name a particular institution. “NTR is an embodiment of Telugu culture and civilisation,” he stated and described him as a towering personality, who gave identity to Telugu people in India and abroad.

“YSR renamed international airport in Hyderabad after former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and his son changed the name of NTRUHS,” he criticised and pointed out that a day is very soon for people to oust YSRCP from power. “Pancha bhutas are watching, be careful,” he warned.
