BJP keen to rope in Prabhas’ elder Prabodh as political successor to Krishnam Raju

Hyderabad: Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah met Rebel Star Prabhas to condole his uncle, actor-turned-politician Krishnam Raju's death. Similarly, state BJP leaders are also meeting Prabhas.

Apart from expressing their condolences to the bereaved family, there is also a talk that they want to bring someone from that family as their political successor to Krishnam Raju. At present, Prabhas will be busy for the next four years with the films he is doing.

Therefore, he will not give up his film career and enter politics. But it seems that Prabodh, his elder brother, may be roped in as the political successor to Krishnam Raju. It may be recalled that Krishnam Raju had contested from the Narasapuram Parliamentary constituency many times.

Because that is the area where the majority of Rajus hail from. BJP leaders say that they can tell Krishnam Raju's family members as well as Prabhas to let Prabhod contest from there in the upcoming elections.

If that happens, there is a possibility that Prabhas will campaign for BJP. Prabhas have now become the talk of the nation. Apart from that, there is no such big star from Raju’s community. Observers also say that if the BJP convinces Prabhas and brings his brother into its fold there is a possibility of changing the political equations in Andhra Pradesh.

However, it seems that Bharatiya Janata Party wants to bring someone from Krishnam Raju's family to cash in on the craze of Prabhas.  Rumours mills abuzz that  BJP leaders will continue to line up for Prabhas in the future, too. However, there is a possibility that Prabhas will also become a key player in the upcoming elections.
