Cops serve notice to stop Bandi Sanjay’s Praja Sangrama Yatra

Warangal, August 23: Wardhannapet police served notices to BJP Telangana general secretaries G Premender Reddy and Dugyala Pradeep Kumar, and Dr. Manohar Reddy Gangidi, directing them to stop third phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra with an immediate effect.

In the notice, ACP informed that permission was not granted to Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar to continue padayatra in Jangaon district. Reasons mentioned for denying permission to padayatra was mobilising people in large number from various districts in the name of Dharma Deeksha and delivering hate speeches. “There is every possibility of law and order disturbance,” ACP stated.

The police official mentioned that legal action will be initiated if the BJP continues padayatra by ignoring notice. The BJP leaders made it clear that they will not stop padayatra. “Why police are imposing restriction for third phase of yatra after successful completion of two phases,” they asked. Meanwhile, Union Minister Kishan Reddy faulted the TRS government for not allowing Bandi to continue yatra.
