Warangal: Wife murders Kakatiya University retired professor over property dispute

Warangal, August 6: T. Krishnakanth, retired professor of the Kakatiya University, murdered by his wife over property dispute at FCI Colony of Gopalapuram in Hasanparthy. According to police, Krishnakanth and Kadari Lalitha are leaving separately for the last four years. Lalitha is working as an assistant professor on contract basis at University PG College for Women at Subedari in Warangal. 
 
On Friday night, Lalitha and her daughter came to the residence of Krishnakanth, who was residing in Hasanparthy after his retirement. Heated argument broke between wife and husband regarding property. Angry Krishnakanth started beating his wife. 
 
In a fit of rage, Lalitha hit him with an iron rod on his head. He died due to excessive bleeding. She too suffered serious injuries. On receiving information, the police reached the spot. After registering a case, body was shifted to MGM Hospital for post-mortem. Lalitha was admitted to a government hospital for treatment.
