KTR flays Kishan Reddy for importing national flags from China

Hyderabad, August 2: Telangana Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) faulted the remarks of Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Kishan Reddy on khadi industry. In a press meet held in Vijayawada on Sunday, Kishan Reddy said that India’s khadi industry cannot meet huge demand of making national flags within a short time.

Terming NDA government as NPA, KTR indirectly asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi as to why his government did not order for national flags one year ahead of 75th Independence Day celebrations. In a tweet, he sarcastically praised the Modi government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat.

KTR shared a newspaper clipping of Kishan Reddy defending importing of national flags from China. The Union Minister mentioned that crores of flags are needed for Har Ghar Tiranga programme which was planned recently. AP BJP president Somu Veerraju and BJP leader Kanna Lakshminarayana were present along with Kishan Reddy in the press meet.
