Karimnagar woman to cook for Modi

Hyderabad, June 30: Usually five star hotel cooks will be selected to prepare food for Prime Minister. But a woman cook from Karimnagar district is going to cook food for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
 
BJP leaders selected Goolla Yadamma, an extraordinaire chef, to introduce Telangana cuisine to the PM, who will attend the national executive meetings from July 2 in Hyderabad.
 
Yadamma, native of Husnabad mandal, settled in Karimnagar after marriage. She learnt learnt cooking skills from a person, Venkanna, at Mankamma Thota and has been cooking for the past 29 years.
 
She got recognition after preparing food for the programmes of Ministers KT Rama Rao and Gangula Kamalakar and also during the meetings of party State president Bandi Sanjay. 
 
Bandi Sanjay called her to Hyderabad on Wednesday and tasted some of her recipes. Later speaking to the media, Yadamma said, “Modi sir asked for Telangana dishes and Bandi Sanjay sir told him that Yadamma will cook tasty food. Hence they invited me to a star hotel in Hyderabad on Wednesday.”
 
She said that the BJP leaders told me to cook all vegetarian food. The menu includes yellow rice, dal, curd rice, bagara rice, gangavayili dal, pachi pulusu, bagara baigan curry. Also, Telangana special snack Sakinalu, ariselu, bhakshalu, payasam and other snacks also included in the menu.
 
Yadamma said that she is on cloud nine that Prime Minister Modi is going to eat the food cooked by her.
