Prabhas completes 20 years in Tollywood, celebrations at Krishnam Raju's residence

Hyderabad: It has been 20 years since Prabhas made his debut as a hero and his fans are celebrating the occasion. All India Rebel Star Krishnam Raju and Prabhas Fans President JSR Shastri (Guntur) organised a programme to celebrate the event at Krishnam Raju's residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Rebel Star Krishnam Raju, director Jayant C Paranji and producer Ashok Kumar, who introduced Prabhas as the hero in the film ‘Ishwar’, along with some fans from the two Telugu states participated in the celebrations. On the occasion, they cut the cake and shared the joy.

Speaking on the occasion, Rebel Star Krishnam Raju said, “I am surprised that 20 years have passed since Prabhas was introduced as a hero. We really thought of introducing Prabhas as a hero in our Gopi Krishna banner, but producer Ashok Kumar and director Jayant came to our residence and asked us to give them a chance to introduce Prabhas.”

“I loved it when Jayant narrated the ‘Ishwar’ story. We said okay to Ashok Kumar as the story has good mass elements and we assumed that surely everyone will like it. Jayant and Ashok took on a lot of responsibility together and the film was a great success and made Prabhas a hero,” Krishnam Raju recalled.

“We assumed that Prabhas would definitely become a big hero after watching the first movie, but unexpectedly he grows up to be a Pan India star, his hard work, perseverance and fans' support took him to that level. Prabhas has the great quality of helping his peers rather than just being an actor. I want Prabhas to rise to even greater heights and receive good successes,” the rebel star signs off.
