CM Jagan slams Opposition for criticising Rs 2,000 deduction from Amma Vodi

Srikakulam, June 27: Addressing a public meeting after releasing Rs 6,595 crore into the accounts of Jagananna Amma Vodi beneficiaries here on Monday, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed the TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan and a section of media for criticising deduction of Rs 2,000 from Amma Vodi amount for maintenance of government schools.
 
The CM mentioned that the Amma Vodi is benefitting 80 lakh students. “The YSRCP government is providing Rs 24,000 worth Byju's app free to students studying in government schools,” he said and faulted Chandrababu for making mockery of app. 
 
Jagan said that his government had spend Rs 19,617 crore towards the Amma Vodi scheme in the last three years. “Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, a couple of newspapers and a TV channel can do nothing to me till I have blessings of people and god,” he stated. Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, Ministers Dharmana Prasada Rao and S. Appala Raju, and officials were present.
