Telangana High Court serves notice to CM KCR

Hyderabad, June 23: The Telangana High Court served a notice to TRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao over allocation of lands to the TRS party offices at Banjara Hills here and in all district headquarters.
 
The top court heard arguments over the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by retired employee Maheswar Raj. He challenged granting lands to the TRS offices at throwaway price. The petitioner mentioned in his PIL that the state government allocated 4,935 square yards of costly land to the TRS office in Hyderabad at Rs 100 per square yard.
 
Notices were also served to TRS general secretary Srinivas Reddy, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and Hyderabad Collector. The High Court directed them to file counter affidavit within four weeks.
