Modi govt privatising defence jobs with Agnipath Scheme: Harish Rao

Nizamabad, June 18: Health and Finance Minister Harish Rao on Saturday alleged that the Modi government is trying to privatise defence jobs by introducing Agnipath Scheme.

Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Mothe village in Velpur mandal, he came down heavily on Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay for making TRS government responsible for violence at Secunderabad railway station.

“If TRS is behind arson at railway station in Secunderabad then who is responsible for violence erupted in Uttar Pradesh against Agnipath Scheme,” he asked the BJP chief.

Rao flayed the BJP government at Centre for privatising the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, BSNL, LIC and now defence sector. He slammed Bandi Sanjay and BJP national vice president for saying that youth did not understand Agnipath Scheme properly.

The minister stated that the BJP will reduce monthly pension amount and removes free power by fixing meters to agricultural pump sets if it comes to power in Telangana.
