Aadhaar update services at your doorstep; UIDAI to train 48,000 postmen

Hyderabad: Good news for those who wanted to add a contact number to the Aadhaar card, or to add children's names or other personal details. Once you go to the Aadhaar Centre for the purpose, you will come back with serpentine queues and server problems. Hence, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) intends to provide door-to-door Aadhaar card update service as a solution to these problems. If the same happens, people no need to go to the Aadhaar Centre.

48,000 postmen


It has been reported that UIDAI is currently training 48,000 postmen at the post offices to provide basic services to customers from home, especially in remote areas.

More than 1.5 lakh people


At the same time, more than 1.5 lakh people will be trained on Aadhaar Digital Equipment Laptop Based Aadhaar kits in two phases.

13,000 employees

Aadhaar services will also be provided to 13,000 employees of the Ministry of Electronics, Information and Information Technology, a central government agency.

In 773 districts

As of April 4, 2022, UIDAI plans to set up Aadhaar service centres in all 773 districts of the country. Thereby expecting customers to use their services quickly.
