Ambati indirectly says Pawan Kalyan has role in Amalapuram violence

Amaravati, June 3: Minister for Water Resources Ambati Rambabu on Friday indirectly said that Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan has a role in violence erupted in Amalapuram over district renaming row.

Responding to a reporter’s question, he said that the YSRCP government had renamed Konaseema district as Dr. BR Ambedkar Konaseema district after proposal came from Pawan Kalyan and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Ambati asked Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu as to why they did not condemn arson in Amalapuram. “If Pawan Kalyan is a true politician, then he has to condemn setting house of a Dalit minister on fire,” he stated.

To a question, the minister mentioned that his government asked explanation of EE for putting a clause in a tender saying that contractor should not approach the court in case of delay in payment for the work executed. He made it clear that there are no written orders to put a clause in tenders.
