Rebut TRS criticism, Union Home Minister Amit Shah exhorts core committee leaders

Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has directed party Telangana Core Committee leaders to strongly rebut the TRS' criticism of the Union government. Amit Shah, who was on a visit to Telangana to attend the concluding programme of BJP State unit chief Bandi Sanjay's Praja Sangrama Yatra, met party Telangana Core Committee leaders at the Novotel Hotel in Shamshabad here on Saturday.

During the meeting, which lasted for half an hour, Amit Shah gave instructions to the Telangana leaders. He directed the party leaders to move forward with the aim of winning the upcoming elections. Amit Shah made some key remarks on the occasion, citing an internally drafted report on party leaders. After the Core Committee meeting, Amit Shah went to the concluding session of Bandi Sanjay’s padayatra at Thukkuguda on the outskirts of the city.

As part of the meeting, Amit Shah had a special meeting with BJP Telangana in-charge Tarun Chugh, Union Minister Kishan Reddy and party leader Vijayashanthi. On the occasion, he advised them to take the party forcefully to the people.

He further stated that the Centre is giving funds to Telangana as it has been allocating to all the states. But, TRS is targeting the Centre alleging that it was showing step-motherly treatment towards Telangana. In this backdrop, he suggested to them to refute the false propaganda and tell the people that the Centre is treating Telangana on par with other States and allocating funds without any bias.
