Guntur: Beggar murdered for rejecting to eat donated idli, three arrested

Guntur, May 6: The police arrested three persons for murdering a beggar at Ankireddypalem in Guntur Municipal Corporation limits on the night of May 1. According to Guntur Rural DSP Jessy Prasanthi, key accused Mahesh, who was in an inebriated condition, donated an idli packet to the beggar at Housing Board Colony. But he rejected to accept idli from him. A heated argument broke between Mahesh and beggar, she said.
 
The DSP stated Mahesh returned to the Housing Board Colony along with his friends Anil and Satish Kumar on a bike and spotted the beggar. They took the beggar forcibly to Ankireddypalem on their bike. They thrashed the beggar with sticks and stone and he died on the spot. 

The police registered a case and took them into custody. Prasanthi has appreciated the CI, SIs and police constables for cracking the murder case within a few days and apprehending the accused.
