Jagga Reddy stages protest in front of Ganadhi Bhavan demanding Puvvada's ouster

Hyderabad: The Congress party rank and file staged a massive protest in front of Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Saturday demanding that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sack the Minister for Transport, Puvvada Ajay Kumar from the Cabinet. Sangareddy MLA Jaggareddy also took part in the protest, which was attended by a large number of Congress party workers and Osmania University Unemployed JAC leaders.

On the occasion, Jagga Reddy demanded that Minister Puvada Ajay Kumar be immediately sacked from the Ministry. The Congress workers and others, who were present in the protest, raised the slogans "destroy the medical mafia" in the state.

Jagga Reddy said that he was outraged that the PD Acts were being used against the leaders of the opposition. In Khammam, cases are being registered against Congress party councillors.  He alleged that Minister Puvada has turned into a medical mafia and flayed him for using a caste card to gain sympathy. He warned of laying siege to his hospital in Khammam. As part of the protest, the Congress party cadre tried to burn the effigy of Puvvada, but police foiled their bid.
