Former minister Balineni meets CM Jagan; may get Cabinet rank post

Former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy met Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at latter’s camp office in Tadepalli on Monday evening. AP government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy personally took him to the CM’s office. Balineni is not happy for denying him minister post second time while retaining Adimulapu Suresh from erstwhile Prakasam district. Followers of Balineni are of the view that their leader has been associated with the YSRCP since its inception and strengthened the party in the district.

Sajjala has tried his best to convince him that he will get either party district president or regional coordinator post. But Balineni did not budge and his loyalists’ tendered resignations to their posts in some places.

According to sources, the CM might give Srinivasa Reddy a post equivalent to the Cabinet rank so that protocol issues won’t arise while attending the official meetings. Jagan had reportedly appointed former minister Kodali Nani as chairman, a Cabinet rank post, of the State Development Board.
