CM Jagan seriously considering to create one more tribal district in AP: Perni Nani

Transport Minister Perni Nani on Tuesday revealed that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is seriously considering to create one more tribal district in the state. Talking to reporters, he stated that another new district with tribal mandals in Rampachodavaram Agency of erstwhile East Godavari district and submerged mandals of Polavaram Project is likely to be finalised very soon.

Nani has mentioned that district administration would be closer to tribal people with formation of new district. As part of bifurcation, 13 more new districts were carved out from existing ones in which two districts are exclusively for tribals. All the new districts came into existence from April 4 after the CM virtually launched them. If the state government creates third tribal district, then the total number of districts would go up to 27.

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Monday had pointed out that Alluri Sitarama Raju district, with headquarters in Paderu, is far away for tribal people of Rampachodavaram, Yetapaka, and Kukunoor.
