Lashkar-e-Taiba Top Commander Altaf Lali Shot Dead

An encounter between militants and security forces has been ongoing since Friday morning in Jammu and Kashmir, according to a statement issued by the Indian Army. Based on credible intelligence inputs about militant activity in the Bandipora area, security personnel reached the location to conduct an operation.

Sources from intelligence agencies stated that while the search operation was underway in Bandipora, militants opened fire on the security forces. In the retaliatory gunfire, Lashkar-e-Taiba’s top commander Altaf Lali was killed, according to official sources.

However, a formal announcement from the Indian Army regarding this development is still awaited.
