Fire at NIMS Emergency Block Promptly Controlled, Confirms Minister
Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha responded to the fire accident that occurred on the fifth floor of the emergency block at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad. He stated that no one was harmed in the incident. He also disclosed that the property damage was minimal.
Damodar Rajanarasimha said that he obtained the details of the incident through a phone conversation with the Director of NIMS.
The minister noted that the likelihood of fire accidents is higher during the summer season. In light of this, he advised hospital authorities and staff to remain vigilant. He added that all patients had been safely relocated to secure rooms.
The fire broke out accidentally on the fifth floor of the emergency department at NIMS, and fire personnel promptly brought the flames under control.
