Priyansh Arya’s explosive century powered Punjab Kings to a formidable total against Chennai Super Kings in their IPL 2025 clash held in Chandigarh. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Punjab Kings posted 219 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

The highlight of Punjab’s innings was undoubtedly the batting performance of Priyansh Arya. Despite wickets falling at the other end, the young opener launched a fierce assault on the Chennai bowling attack. Priyansh Arya scored 103 runs off just 42 balls, including seven fours and nine sixes.

Punjab Kings were in trouble at 83 for 5, but Priyansh Arya and Shashank Singh steadied the innings and steered the team towards a high score. Shashank Singh remained unbeaten on 52 runs off 36 deliveries, hitting two boundaries and three sixes.

Priyansh Arya was dismissed as the sixth wicket, but all-rounder Marco Jansen carried the momentum forward. Jansen scored an unbeaten 34 runs from 19 balls, featuring two fours and one six.

In contrast, several key Punjab batsmen struggled. Prabhsimran Singh was dismissed without scoring, while captain Shreyas Iyer managed only 9 runs. Marcus Stoinis scored 4, Nehal Wadhera 9, and Glenn Maxwell just 1 run. Despite these setbacks, Punjab Kings managed to set a challenging target thanks to Priyansh Arya’s sensational innings.

Among the Chennai Super Kings bowlers, Khaleel Ahmed and Ravichandran Ashwin each claimed two wickets, while Mukesh Choudhary and Noor Ahmad took one wicket apiece.
