Court angered at Revanth for absenting from defamation suit hearing

Hyderabad, March 30, 2015: A Hyderabad court has expressed anger at the absence of Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy during the hearing of a defamation suit filed by Banjara Hills Police against him on Monday. The police have filed the case against Revanth Reddy for making allegations that Chief Minister KCR had received kickbacks from medical colleges. Revanth Reddy's lawyer submitted an application to the court seeking exemption from his personal appearance. Rejecting the appeal, the court has ordered Revanth Reddy to attend the court without fail for further hearing on April 21.
