Radhika Apte terms Telugu film industry as male chauvinist and unbearable

Hyderabad, March 28: Versatile Marathi actress Radhika Apte, who was portrayed as the girl-next-door in Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Legend' recently said Telugu film industry was male chauvinist and unbearable as it ill-treats women actors. The not so soft actress, in an interview with film critic Rajeev Masand, said she found it very difficult to in the Telugu Film industry as it was patriarchal in approach. The performing actress, who worked in Prakash Raj's 'Dhoni', said an actress is not given her due in Telugu cinema, where a male actor is treated like God. The actress, who also worked in Ram Gopal Verma's 'Raktha Charitra' part 1 and 2, is currently acting in Hindi and Malalayam movies. She said she was not too keen on returning to Telugu industry.
