This big fish is worth Rs.150 Cr, but ACB lays its hands on it!
Hyderabad, March 27, 2015: Believe it or not, an assistant drug controller working in Adilabad district has accumulated illegal wealth to the tune of Rs.150 Cr over a period of time through his corrupt means. ACB teams, who raided the houses and offices of the top Drug Control officer and his close relatives on Friday, were shocked to find the properties, buildings, lands and gold accumulated by him like a businessman. The officer, Mayuri Vijaya Gopal, has acquired properties in Adilabad, Hyderabad and in some other towns in Telangana. Several ACB teams started raids early in the morning and the raids continued when reports last came in. "It will take a minimum of one week for us to completely assess his properties as there were several documents," said an officer connected with the raids.
