Posani Krishna Murali Taken into CID Custody

The Guntur Civil Court has approved the CID police's request to take actor and former YSR Congress Party leader Posani Krishna Murali into their custody. The court issued the order on Monday, following which CID officials took him into custody on Tuesday. Authorities stated that Posani would first be taken to Guntur GGH Hospital for a medical examination before being interrogated at the CID office.

Posani Krishna Murali had previously made controversial remarks against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Additionally, he allegedly presented morphed images before the media. Based on complaints from leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party, the CID police registered a case against him. As part of the investigation, officials filed a petition in court seeking his custody while he was lodged in Guntur district jail.
