Change AP name to Telugu Nadu: EX. Min Manikya Vara Prasad

Guntur, March 24, 2015: Former minister and Congress leader Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad on Tuesday demanded that the Andhra Pradesh state should be re-christened as Telugu Nadu. Speaking to reporters here, Vara Prasad said that like Tamil Nadu, the name of AP should be changed to Telugu Nadu and demanded the state and central governments to take suitable steps in this regard. He also suggested that Krishna River flood banks should be strengthened as in case of Tank Bund in Hyderabad and statues of top Telugu people should be installed on it. To a question, he said he will announce his future course of action on April 14. Manikya Varaprasad has been keeping off Congress activities for a long time.
