Champions Trophy Semi-final: Australia Wins Toss Against Team India
In the first semi-final of the Champions Trophy, Team India and Australia are set to face off in Dubai. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. The pitch report also indicated that batting first would be the ideal choice for the team winning the toss.
After the toss, Indian captain Rohit Sharma stated that the team was well-prepared for the crucial match, whether batting first or chasing. He mentioned that sometimes winning the toss leads to confusion over what to choose, but today, losing the toss removed that dilemma. He also confirmed that India would be fielding the same playing XI as in the previous match.
Australian captain Steve Smith commented on the pitch conditions, saying that it appeared favorable for batting. He also announced two changes in the Australian squad: Cooper Connolly replaced Matthew Short, while Tanveer Sangha came in for Spencer Johnson.
