Good News for Inter Students: One-Minute Rule Removed

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced a significant relaxation for students appearing for the Intermediate annual examinations. The board has lifted the one-minute rule, allowing students to enter the examination center even if they arrive up to five minutes late. TSBIE Secretary Krishna Aditya confirmed this decision, stating that students arriving by 9:05 AM will still be permitted to enter the exam hall.

The Intermediate annual exams are set to commence tomorrow, March 5, with the exams beginning at 9:00 AM. Between 8:45 AM and 9:00 AM, students are required to complete the OMR sheet.

This year, hall tickets have been issued with QR codes, allowing students to scan and easily locate their examination centers. Additionally, serial numbers have been printed on the question papers to ensure that each student receives the correct paper. This measure will also help track any incidents of paper leaks by identifying the examination center and student involved.

If any errors are found in the question paper, students must make necessary adjustments and respond accordingly after the exam begins. The board has also imposed restrictions on carrying wristwatches into the examination hall.

To enhance security and prevent malpractice, all examination centers have been equipped with CCTV cameras. A dedicated monitoring screen has been set up for each district, with a total of 75 officials assigned to oversee the conduct of the exams.

This year, a total of 4,97,528 male students and 4,99,443 female students are appearing for the Intermediate first-year and second-year exams. Female students outnumber their male counterparts by 1,915.

For students experiencing mental stress or anxiety before the exam, the board has provided a toll-free helpline 14416 and an additional contact number 92402 05555 for assistance.
