Gade Srinivasulu Naidu Wins Uttarandhra Teacher MLC Seat
The vote counting for the Uttarandhra Teacher MLC elections has concluded, with PRTU candidate Gade Srinivasulu Naidu emerging victorious. Sitting MLC Raghu Varma was defeated. Srinivasulu Naidu maintained a lead from the first round of counting.
A total of 10 candidates contested for the Uttarandhra MLC seat. As the elimination process progressed, eight candidates were eliminated, leaving only Srinivasulu Naidu and Raghu Varma in the final round. With the help of second-preference votes, Srinivasulu Naidu secured the required majority of 10,068 votes to clinch the victory.
TDP leader Atchannaidu strongly criticized the YSRCP, accusing it of spreading false propaganda regarding the teacher MLC election results. He stated that the party followed Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s instructions, which were to cast the first-preference vote for Raghu Varma and the second-preference vote for Srinivasulu Naidu. He emphasized that the TDP had supported both Raghu Varma and Srinivasulu Naidu in the elections.
Atchannaidu further alleged that the YSRCP fielded a candidate under the guise of UTF in the teacher MLC elections and accused the party of playing political games in the graduates' MLC elections under the pretense of PDF.
