Amaravati Revamp Uncovers Abandoned Cement Bags and Construction Materials

After the formation of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government in Andhra Pradesh, construction work in the capital city of Amaravati came to a halt. Over the past five years, neglect led to the area being overtaken by wild vegetation, making it resemble a forest. As a result, cement bags, sand, and other construction materials that had been transported for development projects remained unused, exposed to harsh weather conditions. Prolonged exposure to sunlight and rain rendered these materials unusable.

With the new coalition government assuming office, construction activities in Amaravati have resumed. As part of the renewed efforts, authorities are clearing the dense overgrowth and accumulated debris. During this process, hundreds of cement bags and various other construction materials, now deteriorated, are being uncovered.
