Man Uses Wife’s Registered Bike to Pile Up Traffic Fines as Revenge
A man in Uttar Pradesh devised an unusual way to take revenge on his wife, who had filed for divorce. Using a motorcycle registered in her name, he deliberately committed multiple traffic violations, leading to repeated fines being issued to her. This incident has gained widespread attention on social media.
According to national media reports, a young woman from Muzaffarpur, Uttar Pradesh, was married to a man from Patna, Bihar. However, just a month after their wedding, conflicts arose between them, prompting the woman to leave her marital home and send her husband a legal notice seeking divorce. The divorce petition is currently pending in court.
During their wedding, the woman's parents gifted a motorcycle to the groom, but they registered it in their daughter's name. Despite the woman returning to her parents’ home, her husband retained possession of the bike. He then used it to commit multiple traffic violations across various locations. As a result, traffic police issued fine notices to the woman, as the vehicle was officially registered under her name.
Initially, unaware of the situation, she paid the fines. However, as the number of violations increased, she realized her husband was intentionally burdening her with penalties. In the past three months alone, she received four such fines. Upon recognizing this as a deliberate act, she approached the police for help. Her husband, however, continued to commit traffic violations and reportedly told her that he would not return the bike until the divorce was finalized.
Unable to bear the harassment, she first approached Patna's traffic police, who advised her to file a complaint with her local police station. Following this advice, she and her father lodged a complaint at their hometown police station. The authorities instructed her to submit an affidavit confirming that her husband was the one using the bike to commit traffic violations.
This unusual revenge tactic has sparked varied reactions from netizens, with many expressing shock and criticism over the husband's actions.
