Pawan Kalyan Congratulates Padma Awardees
Pawan Kalyan noted that Nandamuri Balakrishna, a celebrated actor in Telugu cinema for over five decades, was chosen for the Padma Bhushan award. Highlighting Balakrishna's versatility on screen, Kalyan also commended his contributions as an MLA from Hindupur and as the chairman of the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital. "Heartfelt congratulations to Balakrishna," he stated.
He also extended his congratulations to Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, an eminent gastroenterologist known for his groundbreaking research in the field, on being chosen for the Padma Vibhushan award.
Recognizing the social activism of Manda Krishna Madiga, Pawan Kalyan acknowledged his relentless efforts through the MRPS movement advocating for reservations for the Madiga community. He also highlighted Madiga’s contributions in supporting differently-abled individuals and sick children through public struggles. Kalyan congratulated Madiga for being selected for the Padma Shri award.
Additionally, Pawan Kalyan applauded literary figure and Sahasravadhani poet Madugula Nagaphani Sharma, as well as K.L. Krishna and V. Raghavendra Acharya, who were chosen for their contributions in literature and education under the Padma Shri category.
He expressed his appreciation for the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for honoring “hidden gems” with Padma awards, adding that this year’s selection of 30 awardees was a moment of pride. He also acknowledged the posthumous recognition of Burrakatha artist Miriyala Apparao, who was awarded the Padma Shri for his contributions to the art form.
