Delhi cops inquire about Rahul Gandhi, Congress miffed

New Delhi, March 14: On the directions of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs the Delhi police are said to have visited the Congress party headquarters in the capital and inquired about the party's vice-president Rahul Gandhi. The police apparently wanted to know the physical description of Rahul Gandhi including about his eyes, height and colour of his hair. The incident is believed to have taken place last week. Enraged over this, the Congress party is believed to be preparing to lodge a complaint on the Delhi police. The Congress party on Saturday condemned Delhi Police's "unnecessary and weird enquiries" about party vice president Rahul Gandhi and termed it "political espionage". When an English news channel asked the police on this issue, the police are believed to have refused to share details. They are believed to have said that the investigation was routine one. On further questioning, the police are said to have said that the home ministry wanted to know how many security personnel were accompanying Rahul Gandhi on his foreign visit.
