AP Express to be renamed as Telangana Express

New Delhi, Feb 27, 2015: Union Urban Development Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu has on Friday said here that AP Express train running between Hyderabad and Delhi will soon be rechristened as Telangana Express. "The AP express name will soon be changed to Telangana express," he told reporters, adding that AP will get a new train from Vijayawada to Delhi. AP will also get a new railway zone, he added. The Railway Authorities have taken the decision to change the name of AP Express to Telangana Express after CM K. Chandrasekhara Rao had written to the Railway Ministry over the issue. Meanwhile, the Railway Ministry has decided to run a new train between Vijayawada and Delhi. Railway Board will soon introduce this new train service.
