The Telugu film industry is mourning the loss of renowned director and writer Surya Kiran, who passed away suddenly. He was undergoing treatment for an illness in a Chennai hospital at the time of his demise. Surya Kiran gained recognition in the Telugu film industry with his debut movie 'Satyam.' Following that, he directed several films including 'Dhana 51,' 'Raju Bhai,' 'Chapter 6,' and 'Neelima' among others.
He also shone as a character artist in various movies and contributed as a writer to some films. Surya Kiran was married to actress Kalyani, but the couple eventually parted ways. He was the brother of actress Sujitha.
